IBS Friendly Low FODMAP Recipe
If you suffer from IBS, trying a Low FODMAP diet is sometimes recommended. FODMAP stands for Fermentable Oligosaccharides, Disaccharides, Monosaccharides and Polyols. High-FODMAP foods contain certain carbohydrates which can trigger bacterial fermentation in the gut. It is thought that by eliminating them from the diet symptoms of IBS may be reduced.
But following a low-FODMAP diet can feel overwhelming, as the list of High-FODMAP foods is very long. However, with a bit of imagination there are still many delicious gut-friendly meals to be enjoyed. Here’s one great idea from Natural Chef student Cheryl Thomson.
